Limited Warranty

The warranty covers any manufacturing defects with the device hardware. It entitles the owner of a device to unlimited free repair (or replacement, at our discretion) of any device within 3 years of purchase.

Defects resulting from improper use or accidental damage are not covered but please see the “out of warranty” repair section at the bottom of this page. Please note that we do not honor warranty claims for reduced battery capacity if improper storage conditions are detected. A guide on this can be found here.

1 year all costs covered

During the first year of device usage, if anything goes wrong, we will cover all costs associated with device repair, including shipping costs for return and replacement.

Free repair for 3 years

After the first year we will no longer cover shipping costs but will repair any device that is returned to us or one of our resellers.

Free “best effort” repair out of warranty

If the damage was accidental or a defect occurs after 3 years, please do reach out anyway.

We really don’t like waste, so even if the warranty does not cover damage, but it can be fixed and you are willing to cover the shipping costs, we’ll service any lightbug device free of charge, provided we still have the parts.
